prompt: a tentative poem

View from my home office window

One fern frond virtually flaps
at the wind's transgression.

One bounces slightly, as if
it's not sure a breeze is passing.

The third moves so cautiously
I think it is resisting reacting to mere air.

But then, I'm not so sure.
